Golf is already a fascinating game, but these shots are amazing...

As time marches on, Tiger's quest to surpass Jack's 18 Major Wins is perhaps one of the more telling statistics to watch.  Will Tiger be able to regain his level of performance in the Majors?  This year will be a good indication.

Now I have to admit... this headline is FUNNY!!!

This one is a classic - and it is amazing that many of today's PGA Tour fans have never seen it.  My good friend, the late Bob Maybin, described this tournament (and playoff) as one of the best every played.  Of course, he was a HUGE Trevino fan, and was actually Trevino's barber for a number of years.  If you have never seen this, do yourself a favor and watch it - two of golf's greats battling it out head-to-head.

If you don't know Ted Bishop, I think this article gives a much better insight into the person... and professional... that he is.  Ted's heart and passion have always been in the right place.  In a few moments of expressing his thoughts on something, he made an extremely poor choice of words that, at least in my opinion, do not reflect on his view of women nor do they reflect in ANY way his view (or the view of the golf industry) on women in golf.  He has accepted the responsibility for what he did.  If I believed, or even suspected that Ted Bishop was "sexist", or that his intentions were to deliver a "sexist" message, I would be first in line calling for his removal. I support the Board of the PGA of America's decision because I believe in our process and I believe in the people we have elected to that position.  At the same time I am disappointed that we could not find a way to accommodate the need for the PGA of America to take decisive action yet still recognize the contributions Ted has made to be inclusive, his service as President of the PGA of America, and  his passion for his fellow PGA Professional.

The First Lady plays SNAG - in Miami, which was a beta market for the new Jack Nicklaus Learning Leagues.  Keeping programs such as the JNLL, which utilize SNAG, in the spotlight like this will help incorporate golf into mainstream life.

The NGCOA recognizes Jack Nicklaus with its highest honor - the Award of Merit.  Could not go to a better person; a true life-time ambassador for the game of golf.

THIS is great stuff - the way we need to be advertising for golf in all our marketing.  Fun, funny, and with a great message that speaks to golfers everywhere!!  The desired action/result is clear and communicated very well, but it still manages to tap the core of Caddyshack - WELL DONE USGA!!!
